The PMC prophecy9 is the flagship model in the Prophecy range — a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker with dual 5.25-inch mineral cone bass drivers, a 55mm soft-dome midrange in PMC's n-compass waveguide, and a 27mm soft-dome tweeter. A 2.57m ATL transmission line with LaminairX aerodynamic venting delivers bass extension to 35Hz and sensitivity of 91.5dB, enabling use with a wide range of amplifiers. Handcrafted in Britain. The PMC prophecy9 is the flagship model in the Prophecy consumer range — a three-way floorstander with dual bass drivers and the longest ATL™ transmission line in the Prophecy family (2.57 metres). Two 134mm LTXL mineral-cone woofers operate in tandem, doubling the bass cone area for deeper extension (35Hz, -3dB) and greater dynamic headroom than any other model in the range, while the dedicated 55mm soft-dome midrange driver and 27mm silk-dome tweeter reproduce the mid and high frequencies without interference from the bass section. The prophecy9's four-ohm nominal impedance and 91.5dB sensitivity mean it responds dynamically to even modest amplifiers, while its low harmonic distortion and exceptional phase coherence reward the highest-quality amplification. At 28.1kg per speaker and 1030mm tall, it is a physically commanding loudspeaker available in multiple real-veneer and lacquer finishes.
