Technical background

Chord Company accessories — banana plugs, ChordOhmic termination fluid, Silent Mounts and heat shrinks — are designed to complete the signal path with the same attention to contact quality as the cables themselves. ChordOhmic rhodium-plated banana plugs use a compression or crimp termination designed for minimum contact resistance and long-term stability. ChordOhmic Transmission Fluid is applied to connector contacts before termination to displace surface oxide layers and prevent re-oxidation, maintaining stable contact resistance over the lifetime of the connection.
