Wireless music streamer and player that pairs with Mojo 2 for go-anywhere hi-fi streaming. Poly is a portable music streamer/player that combines with Mojo or Mojo 2 to wirelessly stream from connected devices. With built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Roon endpoint, AirPlay, DLNA, and a microSD slot for local storage, Poly transforms Mojo 2 into a complete wireless hi-fi system.

Technical background

Poly pairs with Mojo 2 via a direct mechanical and electrical connection, adding a full-featured Wi-Fi/Bluetooth streaming engine. It supports Roon Ready, AirPlay, DLNA, and gapless playback up to DSD256, passing bit-perfect audio directly into Mojo 2's FPGA. A microSD slot allows library storage of up to 2TB for offline listening without a network connection.

Design story

Chord Electronics was founded in Maidstone, Kent in 1989 by John Franks, whose background in aerospace electronics shaped every design decision. Products are hand-built in the UK using precision CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium, giving each unit the tactile solidity of a precision instrument rather than a consumer product. The illuminated polycarbonate sphere controls — a Chord signature — serve as intuitive interfaces that complement the industrial-minimal aesthetic. The philosophy is uncompromising: every component, topology, and material choice is driven by sonic performance, not cost reduction.
