2-way floorstanding speaker — PMC Fact Signature Series. The PMC Fact8 is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a distinctive narrow-profile cabinet housing a 5-inch woven carbon fibre woofer and 27mm SONOLEX soft-dome tweeter, with PMC's ATL bass-loading technology extending response to 45Hz. The slim floor-standing form factor uses patented Laminair port technology to reduce turbulence at high sound pressure levels.

Technical background

The Fact8 pairs PMC's Advanced Transmission Line with premium SEAS Excel drivers — a Norwegian manufacturer whose transducers are selected by some of the most demanding loudspeaker designers in the world. The g-weave carbon fibre cone material delivers exceptional stiffness-to-mass ratio for low colouration, while the 14-element military-grade crossover with matched components ensures the drivers integrate precisely at all listening levels.

Design story

Designed at PMC's Luton facility as the entry point to the Fact Signature range, the Fact8 embodies the principle that domestic aesthetics and professional accuracy are not mutually exclusive. Its slim curved cabinet houses a 3-metre ATL — the same length used in the professional MB2 SE monitor — producing bass performance that defies its visual proportions.
