3-way floorstanding speaker — the absolute pinnacle of the PMC Fact range. The PMC Fact Fenestria is PMC's flagship consumer loudspeaker, a three-way floorstanding design featuring a 15-inch carbon fibre woofer, 75mm PMC75 soft-dome midrange, and 27mm SONOLEX tweeter. Two parallel 2.4m ATL transmission lines per cabinet provide bass extension to 23Hz. The cabinet uses planar sides inspired by structural engineering techniques for tall buildings to cancel resonances through opposing motion, and is constructed from curved laminated panels in a wide range of premium finishes.

Technical background

The Fact Fenestria's twin-tower design houses two separate 2.4-metre ATL enclosures in a single monolithic cabinet — one for the woofer, one for the midrange — eliminating acoustic coupling between bass and mid loading. The 6.5-inch carbon multicellular-core piston woofer uses PMC's most advanced cone technology, while the 75mm rear-chambered midrange dome is shielded from the main cavity by a dedicated internal chamber. LAMINAIR™ technology is applied to both ATL outputs.

Design story

The Fenestria took five years to develop in Luton, representing every engineering insight PMC has accumulated across three decades of transmission line design. Each pair takes over 100 hours to build, test, and match. The result earned the What Hi-Fi?
