The flagship F500S floorstander — a 2.5-way BassTrax design reaching 30Hz with a larger IsoFlare driver and 91dB sensitivity. The wider, braced cabinet accommodates greater driver displacement for higher output and deeper bass than the F501S. The F502S is the flagship 2.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker in Fyne Audio's F500S Series, featuring dual 8-inch drivers — one IsoFlare point-source unit and one dedicated bass driver — with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter in a downward-firing BassTrax ported cabinet. Crossovers are set at 250Hz and 1.7kHz via a neodymium magnet-based design. The larger cabinet and dual 8-inch drivers extend bass output and dynamic capability over the F501S.
Technical background
The F502S uses an IsoFlare driver with a dedicated bass driver and BassTrax porting — a dual-driver topology extending bass to 32Hz while retaining IsoFlare coincident-driver coherence. The dedicated bass driver handles low-frequency excursion, leaving the IsoFlare free to deliver midrange and treble resolution.
Design story
The F502S is the flagship of the standard F500S range — the replacement for the discontinued F502. It achieves its What Hi-Fi? 2025 Award recognition through a combination of the new dual-driver bass topology and updated IsoFlare driver technology.
