Features Zero-Clock™ jitter reduction, Austrian-made JPL-2800 aluminium transport, SNR 128dB and THD 0.001%. Balanced RCA and XLR outputs; upgradeable with TUBE-1012 valve output stage and PSU-1250 external power supply.

Technical background

GoldNote CD players pair Austrian JPL-2800 aluminium transport mechanisms with Burr Brown PCM1792A or AKM AK4493 D/A converters. The proprietary Zero-Clock™ reclocking circuit strips mechanical jitter from the data stream before conversion — a key differentiator from lower-cost designs that pass raw transport data directly to the DAC. Dual-mono power supply architecture uses separate transformer windings for analogue and digital stages to ensure maximum channel separation and the lowest possible noise floor.

GoldNote's CD range was born from the conviction that physical disc playback has not been superseded by streaming when executed with reference-grade engineering. The Austrian JPL-2800 transport — selected for its exceptional machining tolerances — is paired with Zero-Clock™ reclocking electronics that eliminate mechanical jitter before the conversion stage.
