The Black Cube Statement is the entry point to Lehmannaudio's legendary Black Cube phono preamplifier family, which has held cult status among vinyl enthusiasts since its 1995 debut. The Statement preserves the core Black Cube architecture — a passive RIAA equalization network using precision MKP polypropylene foil capacitors placed between two low-noise gain stages drawn from professional studio equipment — in a compact, separate-PSU format that allows the audio unit to be placed directly beside the turntable. Gain is adjustable (36/46/56/66dB) and input impedance is configurable (47kΩ/1kΩ/100Ω plus custom), covering MM and MC cartridges alike. SNR: 71dB MM / 63dB MC; channel separation: >85dB. Technical background

The Black Cube Statement employs a dual-mono fully Class A discrete transistor circuit, with each channel completely independent from DC to the output terminals. The outboard power supply physically removes the transformer — and its induced magnetic fields — from the vicinity of the delicate phono circuit. Gain is adjustable from 36 to 72 dB and cartridge loading is fully variable for MM and MC compatibility.
