3-way passive standmount with dedicated stands — PMC BB5 SE. The PMC BB5 SE is PMC's largest passive reference standmount loudspeaker, using a 15-inch Radial woofer, 75mm PMC75 SE soft-dome midrange, and 27mm SONOLEX tweeter with a 4m ATL transmission line delivering bass to 17Hz. The BB5 SE is based on the professional broadcast and mastering monitor used in recording studios worldwide and is supplied with dedicated stands capable of supporting the 87kg enclosure.
Technical background
The BB5 SE employs a 4-way driver system with a 4-metre ATL, the longest of any PMC monitor, delivering flat extension to 17 Hz. A 15" Radial woofer handles the deepest bass, a 12" Radial driver covers the upper-bass and lower-mid frequencies, a 75mm soft-dome handles the critical midrange, and the 27mm SONOLEX tweeter extends to 25 kHz. LAMINAIR™ port technology and a precision crossover ensure seamless driver integration at all SPLs.

Used by Skywalker Sound, Abbey Road Studios, Air Studios, Metropolis and dozens of the world's most celebrated facilities, the BB5 has been the monitor that defines the reference standard for over 25 years. Made entirely in Luton, each BB5 SE is built to order and takes weeks to complete — a physical expression of PMC's uncompromising standards.
