Acoustic Signature Ascona NEO — flagship multi-arm turntable in Silver/Black. The Ascona NEO occupies the upper tier of Acoustic Signature's lineup with a three-motor belt drive, DTD diamond-coated bearing, and a 75 mm aluminum chassis with Constraint Layer Damping. The standard 13.5 kg platter includes 54 Silencer modules; an optional 16.5 kg aluminum-and-brass sandwich platter (available as an upgrade) pushes rotational inertia to flagship levels. Capable of hosting up to three tonearms simultaneously, the Ascona NEO is the gateway to AS's multi-arm, ultra-high-mass design philosophy. The external DMC-20 AVC Level 3 motor controller keeps the drive electronics remote from the plinth for maximum isolation.
Technical background
The Ascona NEO uses three motors in a symmetrical arrangement driving a common belt to the platter — the same topology as the Montana and Typhoon but with a larger chassis and 54 silencer modules versus 24 in those models. An optional sandwich platter with brass inlay adds further rotational inertia. DTD diamond-coated bearing and DMC-20 AVC Level 3 controller are shared with the Invictus family.
Design story
The Ascona NEO occupies the middle tier of the Acoustic Signature reference range — below the Invictus family in motor count and chassis mass but sharing the same bearing, motor control and silencer technology. Designed to be the highest-performance multi-arm turntable practical for serious audiophiles who cannot justify Invictus pricing.
