🔗 Manufacturer websiteDescription ⌄
Open-back over-ear dynamic headphone with walnut wood ear cups, inspired by Mid-Century Modern design. Positions between the 105 AER and 109 Pro with a more expressive midrange tuning for enhanced vocal and acoustic instrument presence. 42Ω / 112dB / 354g. The Meze Audio 105 SILVA is an open-back over-ear dynamic headphone that bridges the 105 AER and the 109 Pro — combining the AER's clarity and detail with the 109 Pro's richness and genre versatility, while adding its own more expressive midrange tuning for enhanced vocal presence and a natural representation of acoustic instruments. Its name — Silva [ˈsil.və], Romanian for 'forest' — pays tribute to the ancient forests of Maramures, the scenic region in northwestern Romania where Meze Audio is based. At the core is a 50mm dynamic driver built around a carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose composite dome and a PEEK torus with titanium coating, supported by a neodymium magnet system. The walnut wood ear cups and radial PC-ABS grille draw directly from the Mid-Century Modern design movement, fusing vintage warmth with contemporary aesthetics. Every component is individually replaceable for long-term ownership. Included is a 1.8m dual-twisted Kevlar-wrapped OFC cable with anthracite aluminium housings, plus a custom 3.5mm-to-USB-C adapter with an integrated DAC/AMP for smartphone and computer use. Specifications: driver 50mm dynamic; impedance 42Ω; frequency response 5Hz–30kHz; sensitivity 112dB SPL/mW; weight 354g. MSRP €499.
