F1-8 Technology in a Special Production Floor-Standing Cabinet

8" IsoFlare floorstanding speaker — flagship performance in a floor-standing form. The F1-8S is a two-way floorstanding speaker using the same 8-inch IsoFlare point-source driver as the F1-8 standmount, housed in a twin-cavity floor-standing cabinet with a downward-firing BassTrax ported enclosure. The crossover operates at 1.8kHz using Claritycap capacitors and Neotech PC-OCC wiring, all cryogenically treated, with front-mounted HF and presence adjustment controls.
Technical background
The F1-8S uses the same 8-inch IsoFlare driver as the F1-8 standmount but builds upon it with Special Production cabinet construction: heavier enclosure bracing, premium veneer finishing, individually matched driver pairs, and cryogenically treated internal wiring. The twin-cavity BassTrax downward-firing port provides deep bass extension to 30Hz without rear-wall placement constraints.
Design story
The F1-8S represents the pinnacle of the F1 Series in floorstander form — a Special Production (SP) model manufactured to tighter tolerances than the standard range. Each cabinet is built by hand at Fyne's Lennoxtown factory and individually finished in Piano Gloss Walnut with burr walnut inlay.
